Getting to Shute Cottage
By Road
From Carmarthen take the A40 TO St. Clears roundabout, then take the A477 towards Pembroke Dock, continue until you drive to Milton where you will turn left towards Lamphey. Drive approximately 1 mile up the hill and turn left at the T-junction (signposted Manorbier). Approx 1 mile along 'The Ridgeway' and turn right and follow the signs towards Manorbier.
To get to the cottage you will have to get into the center of Manorbier village and head right, towards the beach, the castle will be on your right. Look out for a left turn (before you get to the beach car park) sign posted 'St James's Church', the cottage is at the foot of the hill on the left.
By Sea
From Ireland, ferries sail from Pembroke Dock and Fishguard. Manorbier is about 8 miles from the ferry terminal. Car hire is available.
By Train
There is a train station in Manorbier which is 1 and a half miles outside the village, so a taxi can be booked if arriving with luggage.
